Partner and Owner at Gaido & Fintzen
Dedicated & experienced litigator
Active & former member of many organizations
As a Partner and Owner at Gaido & Fintzen with nearly three decades of experience in the law industry, Ron Sandack is an unquestionably phenomenal litigator. He holds degrees from the University of Illinois and the DePaul University College of Law and possesses certifications with the Illinois Bar, U.S Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S District Court Northern District of Illinois. Throughout his career, Ron has made it a point to not only represent his clients vigorously but to embody their struggle and strive to improve their situations in court.
While some children follow in the footsteps of their parents to become lawyers, Ron Sandack came to the decision on his own with the help of some of his favorite television shows as a child. He would watch law/court dramas and be continuously fascinated with the cross-examinations, whodunnits, the arguments, and the overall atmosphere these shows created. As he grew up, Ron noticed his seemingly innate ability for debating, arguing, and contesting things. Young Mr. Sandack enjoyed the interactive learning aspects this created with his teachers and fellow classmates so much that it inspired him to pursue a career in law.
Law is constantly changing, is entirely intellectual, and requires constant reading and learning, aspects Mr. Sandack thoroughly enjoys about his career. By finding the exceptions to the exceptions and discovering nuances he never stumbled across before makes his job ever-changing and a challenge that encourages him to try harder for each and every client that comes through his office. His firm, Gaido & Fintzen, undertakes their clients’ causes as if they were their own and they care deeply about their clients. Ron and his colleagues firmly believe that when a person cares they will go to greater lengths to prepare and succeed.
In addition to his duties as an attorney, Ron Sandack is an active member and former member of many organizations. Mr. Sandack is a Chair Qualified Arbitrator for the Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program and engages regularly as a member of the DuPage Bar Association. Ron was also a former member of the Judicial Evaluation Committee, Illinois Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association. Not only has Ron been a highly successful practicing attorney but he has also held a number of equally impressive civic positions. Mr. Sandack is the former Mayor and Commissioner of the Village of Downers Grove, a position he has held for over eight years. Ron has also held the positions of State Senator and State Representative where he strived to make a positive influence in politics.
As a leader in his community, it comes as no surprise that Ron enjoys volunteering and giving back to help people and organizations in need wherever he can. He is a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, First Congregational United Church of Christ, the University of Illinois Alumni Association, and is a founding member of the District 58 Education Fund. Ron also uses his lifelong love of sports and his new passion for running in his former duties as Assistant Coach of the Longshots Baseball team.

“Fair Tax”? It’s a Matter of Trust.
There's a ton of TV and radio ads promoting the so-called "Fair Tax" and a ton of ads fighting against it. You probably know the drill. Illinois currently has a Constitutionally mandated flat income tax. Governor Pritzker and the Democratic Legislators who...
